I was first introduced to Loving Kindness meditation many years ago by author and meditation teacher Sharon Salzberg. After spending over a decade in the yoga and wellness space and practicing meditation, I can confidently say that this is one of the most impactful practices in my mindfulness journey.

The Loving Kindness meditation serves as a powerful reminder to cultivate empathy and compassion for everyone—especially those with opposing views, even when it feels difficult. It also encourages us to extend compassion to ourselves, particularly when we struggle to show it toward others. It takes intentional practice to offer empathy and kindness to those we don’t understand or who are different from us. Loving Kindness reminds us that, at the core, everyone longs for love and peace.
