We are living in a time where the readiness for the next level of policy push needed in the equality and justice space in the United States is receiving pushback from some whose comfortable place of historical privilege are feeling threatened by the prospect of greater shared voice at the economic, political and opportunity tables. Yet, conversations and change are necessary, and those in leadership seats have an opportunity to boldly (and yes uncomfortably) make decisions that diversify perspectives to create a more inclusive policy governance structure.
