Dr. Christina Kishimoto founded Voice4Equity in 2021 to foster collaboration that would help make educational policy more equitable and inclusive. A longtime advocate for social justice and a national leader in education policy and equity matters, Dr. Kishimoto has built a leadership team dedicated to achieving the organization’s vision.
As an organization devoted to advocating for equity and increasing the number of women superintendents of color, Voice4Equity seeks to shatter long-standing systemic biases for good. Through strategic leadership building, policy implementation, and community outreach programs, Voice4Equity works toward making tangible improvements in education reform on both a national and international scale.
Everyone benefits from the work we do, especially women from traditionally historically underrepresented communities. We see our organization as a positive and disruptive force dismantling an educational leadership legacy erected through years of systemic bias and inequity. We work directly with women and organizations to build out our capacity and to increase the diversity of voices involved in educational policy-making.
Empowering Women to Become Educational Superintendents
The education system is in dire need of change, and that includes having more women in the superintendents seat. Voice4Equity is an organization dedicated to increasing the number of women superintendents of color and advocating for equity in education reform.
We invite all women who are interested in becoming a superintendent to join us!

Women have been underrepresented in executive leadership for far too long. This puts schools at risk of missing out on the unique perspective and experiences that women superintendents can bring to the table. Having more women educators in decision-making roles can help create an equitable environment for all students — especially those from traditionally underrepresented communities — thus bridging gaps in access to quality educational experiences.
Voice4Equity offers a range of capacity-development for women who are interested in becoming educational superintendents. For those looking for guidance, we ask that you contact us to learn about our organization — especially if you’re passionate about closing the access gap and creating equitable learning environments for all students.
At Voice4Equity, we believe that everyone should benefit from quality education systems — especially women from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Our mission is to empower these individuals by providing them with access to the resources they need to become successful educational leaders who will challenge existing systemic biases within the field of education.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on both local and global levels while gaining valuable experience along the way, join our powerful network of women leaders.
We need your voice — and Voice4Equity is a partner that can help you amplify your voice.
