Christina is one of several keynote speakers at this important national conference on rural education that is designed to create an environment for collaboration and innovation with a diverse community that includes, national experts, K–12 and higher education practitioners, leading researchers, policymakers, and philanthropic leaders. Come to Indianapolis and learn more about the innovative work going on in rural schools nationwide!
Voice4Equity is exciting to bring back the national When Women Lead convening at the NREA Conference. When Women Lead is a talk session focused on women leading in education. This is a no-holds-barred conversation about what it is like to be a women policy leader in the CEO seat in a field in which 74% of teachers are women, and only 27% of Superintendents are women. A short presentation is followed by a facilitated dialogue about dispelling myths that impact women’s access to leadership, overcoming disempowering gender bias, and most importantly developing a powerful network of strong women leaders that support one another, grow together and help advance one another.
Our focus as leaders remains on student-centered policy leadership. If you are interested in becoming part of a national network of women who are focused on innovation and equity, you will be able to sign up at the session for a supportive, closed-door e-network that will continue to meet periodically beyond the session. Let’s be at the policy table together!
