The Power Up Series is a partnership between the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Excellence, Equity, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans and Discovery Education that consists of a collection of engagements in the Black community that will serve as critical touchpoints in advancing education, equity, and economic opportunity best practices and resources. During this event, you will hear directly from different federal agencies about the resources available to advance equity and economic opportunity in the Black community.
Dr. Kishimoto will be moderating a panel with Dr. Luvelle Brown, Superintendent, Ithaca City School District, discussing insights from work unfolding in the classrooms today on how to cultivate student and teacher voice and agency.

A day and a half of programming for educators, students and community members in Suwanee, Georgia
Audience: Grassroots community leaders, the Black business community, Black community leaders in the areas of economics, housing, healthcare, and education
