USC Rossier created the Breakthrough Leadership Institute to give school leadership teams and individuals a place to think deeply about their school communities and how they can move intractable challenges forward.

The institute focuses on interrogating a local problem of practice from a variety of school district compositions – rural, urban, or suburban. Dr. Kishimoto is a lead facilitator for the Institute.

Attending teams or individuals can include a diverse cross-section of positions, such as, district superintendent, cabinet/c-suite members, classroom teachers, principals, instructional leaders/coaches, supervisors/directors, union presidents, school board members, community partners, and teachers on special assignment.
